Update: As of February 3rd, 2021 the PHO has extended the previously implemented province-wide restrictions until further notice.
On December 3rd, 2020, the Provincial Health Officer extended her province-wide restrictions and added to say "All indoor and outdoor sports for people 19 years of age and older are suspended" and that "All organized indoor and outdoor sports for people under 19 years of age must follow viaSport's Return to Sport Phase 2 guidance with respect to maintaining physical distance for participants. This means games, tournaments and competitions are temporarily suspended for teams."

As with all PHO orders, communities and facilities are expected to use their best judgement to apply the expectations provided and in this circumstance, the message has been made clear.
We understand and share in the disappointment with the affected users of our facilities; however, we are doing our best to follow the PHO guidance to safeguard our staff, our users, and our communities. This Order will remain in effect until further notice from the PHO.

Public Skating will be offered starting next week on a trial basis for the first week.
If things go well, we will look at offering further times in the coming weeks.
All Public Skating will be by pre-registration only and no refunds at this time due to the limited times and space available.
On November 19, 2020 the Provincial Health Officer ordered province-wide restrictions including prohibiting “travel to, from and between communities for athletic activities.” As with all PHO orders, communities and facilities are expected to use their best judgement to apply the expectations provided. For activities hosted by our facilities we have defined our community boundaries as the City of Salmon Arm and the C.S.R.D.’s Electoral Areas C, D, E and F. (see map below).
